中山紀念公園的原名是西區公園，位於香港西營盤海傍，座落於東邊街北，鄰近西區海底隧道香港島出口。中山紀念公園是香港首個以孫中山先生名字銘名的公園。

Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park, which is originally named Western Park, is a waterfront park in the Sai Ying Pun area on Hong Kong Island and faces the Victoria Harbour. It is the first park in Hong Kong to be named after Dr Sun, a revolutionary pioneer in modern China.

園內設有各式各樣的設施和設備，適合男女老少享用，當中包括紀念草坪、孫中山像、鐘樓、兒童遊樂場、牌樓、瞭望台、長者健身室、四大寇庭院、水景廣場和卵石路步行徑。

The Park includes numerous facilities for people from all ages. They are Memorial Lawn, Sun Yat Sen Statue, Chime Tower, Children”s Play, Pai Lau, Viewing Deck, Fitness Corner for Elderly, Four Desperados Courtyard, Reflecting Pond Plaza and Pebble Walking Trail.

孫中山像

整個紀念公園最主要的地方是圓形的紀念草坪，孫中山像就正正位於紀念草坪的中央。孫中山像由中位本地藝術家參看一幅孫先生的照片（照片中孫先生剛剛革命成功，正準備去武漢）雕琢而成，約五米高。

The Sun Yat Sen Statues

The main ceremonial space is an open lawn with circular shape, where the statue of Dr Sun Yat Sen is situated. The statue is 5 metres in height and is sculpted by a local artist. The statue is based on a photo showing Dr. Sun prepared to go to Wuhan after the success of revolution.

遊園小貼士：紀念草坪毎天設有兩段澆灌時間，分別為上午十時及下午五時半，毎段澆灌持續四十分鐘。

Tips: There are two watering time for the memorial lawn at 10am to 10:40am and 5:30pm to 6:10pm.


交通方法：

由上環地鐵站D出口出發，轉右再向西行約十分鐘便可到達

Ways to get there:

MTR Sheung Wan Station Exit D, turn right and walk westwards for about 10 minutes
